I have 2 of these mounted just under the eaves. They've been up now about a year and a half and both are still functioning great. getting ready to buy 3 more for my pole barn.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The light fixtures and everything else look to be rain proof. HOWEVER, be careful how you attach it to the house. The backside IS NOT waterproof and water can enter from the back. I siliconed the back of mine.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Based on the fact that the fixture is made to be used outdoors, YES. The only place where this is questionable is the mounting base. This is 100% dependent on how WELL you caulk. David.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Mine has withstood some pretty significant rain storms and is not protected by eves. I did take the extra step to seal the base to the wall with a silicone sealant; not so much to protect to light internals as to ensure no water could get into the wall area.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I have one of mine installed as you describe and have had no issues. It appears to be fairly water resistant and from what I've seen holds up against outdoor weather.
