How many of these lights can I install on the same circuit?

Find out the Watts of the fixture. Find out the ACTUAL voltage coming into your house. Divide the Watts by the Voltage. This will give you the Amps. A 20 Amp breaker is supposed to trip at 16+ amp usage. A15 Amp breaker is SUPPOSED to trip at 12+ amp usage. David.

On a typical 20amp breaker, you can put a load of up to about 1900watts. These lights draw a load of about 23 watts. So basically about as many as you want.

Lighting circuit breakers are 15 amps. so the formula goes like this 15a X 110v= 1,650 watts 1,650 watts/ 22.8 fixtures = 72.3 so 72 of these lights are you maximum. By all electrical codes the circuit must be on a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter! You do have a little drop in voltage over long distances, so somewhat less, probably 50-60 fixtures allowing That's about $3,750.00 plus tax of light fixtures. My backyard is about 6,000 sq ft, or 60x100. 50 of these fixtures in a 6,000 sq ft area would be enough light to teach threading needles with black thread at 3:00 am on December 21. If you want to land a Lear Jet on a 10,000 ft runway... well Try one and you will see how bright they are. These puppies are really bright.
