What is the AC current rating per outlet?


It usually depends on your wire size as well as the breaker providing power to that circuit. Generally #14 copper is good for a 15A circuit, and a #12 copper is good for a 20A circuit. What some people dont understand is that you have more than one outlet on the same circuit, so if you had (3) outlets with 5A on each, you could potentially trip your 15A breaker.
