can it be used eith an extnsion cord


I tested connecting the outside Christmas light string directly to the timer and only the ON position works. Seems like i have a defective unit? I purchased about a year ago, so guess out of luck for returning to store. UG.

Using an extension cord might be the reason why none of the timers or the dusk/dawn settings are not working. The ON position works though. I will have to test this out.

Hello EB and Thank you for your Question! An extension cord could be used, but you MUST use the PROPER SIZE WIRE for the cord. Do NOT use a SMALL Wire size!
