will this work using CFL/LED bulbs


Yes. This timer is basically an automated circuit interrupter (switch). It's timed to send power to/ and cut off power to a circuit loop just like a manually operated switch, only with preprogrammed intervals. As long as your point of use device (lamp, light fixture, disco ball...whatever) is rated for a CFL or LED bulb, then you should be good to go.
