Can 3 timers be placed side-by-side and covered with a 3 place rocker switch wall plate?

Yes, provided you are following local codes and have a large enough box.

I don't know why not. The only problem I would anticipate is having enough room in the junction box for the extra wire nuts that would be used. All connections to the timer are with wire nuts as opposed to connections built into the back of switches. So you could encounter a very tight fit as these timers are somewhat deeper than standard switches.

Yes you can. They are wide and deeper than a regular rocker switch. It may be a little tight in the box, but you could do it.

Yes - absolutely. Of course - the box will be very crowded as these are deep, so if you have a lot of wiring in the box with wire nut connections, you will have to get strategic to get three deep switches. These are about as deep or deeper than a dimmer.
