How to troubleshoot loud buzzing on new install? I removed F-wire from chime, buzzing is quieter, but still present...?

ALL transformers vibrate and have a hum so you might just need to replace it if it is excessive.

I noticed this on mine, too. But discovered it was the housing (well, what I’m calling the housing which is a thin rectangular strip that goes around the thing). I used some pliers to tighten it all around and the buzzing stopped.

Most likely, the transformer is faulty if it's buzzing or humming on a new install. Replace transformer and see if it still hums.

Sounds like a compatibility issue if chime and transformer were bought separately check chime model for matching transformer or visit Lowes electric department for help. If units are new install confirm wire hookup and compatibility. Check transformer power supply line for polarity.
