Is this button compatible with an electronic doorbell or does it need a diode installed across the terminal screws to work properly?


Hey HeathCo, an LED requires DC voltage to work. We get AC voltage from the transformer. Is there an internal diode to make the light work?

Hello, The button itself has no control over weather a diode needs to be used. If the chime unit requires a diode on the button to play through the tune you would need a diode with any button.
