Why does light blink

Hi Bill — blinking or flickering on these recessed LED downlights is usually caused by one of a few common issues: Incompatible dimmer switch: If you’re using a dimmer, make sure it’s a LED‑compatible dimmer and that it supports the low wattage of LED fixtures. Standard incandescent dimmers often cause blinking. Loose connection: Check the wire connections in the junction box and ensure the downlight is fully seated in the housing. A loose neutral or hot wire can cause intermittent blinking. Voltage fluctuations: If the circuit is overloaded or the power supply is unstable, LEDs can flicker. Driver failure: Each light has a small integrated LED driver. If one is going bad, it can cause blinking and may need replacement (you’d usually replace the entire fixture). Quick fix: If on a dimmer, try setting it to full brightness or swap to a compatible LED dimmer. If on a regular switch, re‑check all connections.
