I would use a 2 1/8' deep 1900 box and a 1 gang plaster ring.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The 2 gang box sold at Lowe's is only 2.25" deep. you need at least 2.75-3" for back of outlet clearance. Must also purchase extender but its no longer weather tight without applying silicone.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Requires a double gang (4" square) deep box. The outlet screws to the cover plate (not the box) then the cover screws to the box. Works fine.
