Can this be used for an RV hookup?

Yes, for a 4-prong 50A RV power cord this is the same. It supplies 2 hot legs at 120V each, a neutral, and a ground. If you have a 3 prong cord, it is a 30A and uses a NEMA TT-30. It supplies 1 120V hot, 1 neutral, and one ground. Do not attempt to plug a TT-30 plug into a "dryer outlet" (NEMA 10-30) - while they look similar the dryer outlet provides 2 hots and 1 neutral for a total of 240V and you will damage your RV.
