How deep an electric gang box do I need (what are the outlet dimensions)?

Was this Answer Helpful ?The receptacle dimensions are irrelevant. Use a 2 1/8" deep 1900 box (4" square) and a 1/2" raised 2-gang plaster frame and you will have no problems. This receptacle will not fit a single gang box.
