Best to use a 2 1/8" deep 4" square box (1900) with plaster frame OR with a raised cover if a surface application. Lowes sells both.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, however should you prefer to use a double gang box, good luck finding a double gang face plate to fit it. Not many stores carry them.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes it does. However once you get 10 gauge wire in there with it, it is a tight fit. I’ve done it, and you will need to take your time forming the wires to fit
