Which wires are red black and white thrall just Gray


All 3-wire cords are similar with all wires being the same color. The center wire is always the neutral conductor (White) and the two outer wires are the hot conductors (Black and Red) and are interchangeable.

For 3 wire dryer cords the center wire is the neutral the outer 2 wires are the hots. The ground has to be provided separately.
