The outlet you plug it into must be powered by a wall switch otherwise you turn it on by plugging it in.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I have mounted a ceiling electrical box with outlets so I can plug the fixture in directly and control it from a wall switch. There is no on/off switch on the fixture, just a five-foot cord with three-prong plug.
