They're mounting position is not a factor to performance or safety.
Was this Answer Helpful ?YES this unit can be wall mounted. BUT you must disassemble the face of the unit then screw the unit to the wall thru the prepunched holes in the unit. Then reassemble the face. It takes THREE hands to do this as the bulb holders are friction fit and the face plate has three screws to install. Easy for something to come out of place without that THIRD hand......LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes but the light will be pointing out. The light has a reflector that sticks out the side of the main body so mounting it to a wall facing down will not work unless you add a lip to the wall like a 2x4.

Was this Answer Helpful ?You will have to open the unit (easy open) and mount the back side to your wall of desire. Then reassemble the unit and add fluorescent lights and plug and play.
