How high can I raise the pressure in my 36 gallon Utilitech pump tank if my pump pressure is set a 40-60 psi.

I'm not a professional, but I have done a lot of reading lately and I do remember reading the following scenarios can reduce your pressure. The distance from your well to your home and a higher than usual usage or draw on the water supply for things like irrigation can reduce the pressure. In that case, you may need a larger tank to produce the pressure that you need with that type of demand.

all you can do is set your air pressure at 38 psi with pump shut off and drained ( open a facet till it stop running). that it or run larger supply lines may help.

Shut off the pump, drain all water pressure from the lines and then read the pressure on the bladder with a tire pressure gauge. You can increase the pressure from the 25psi it comes set at to 35psi with a standard air compressor. I don't recommend going any higher than that. Then turn the pump back on and you should have better discharge pressure at the faucets.

The pump tank should be charged to 2 PSI lower than the cut in pressure for the well system. If the switch is 40-60, the tank should be charged to 38 PSI.
