What gauge wire is this product made of?


1000 watts of power will consume just over 8 amps of current. While a 16 gauge wire will handle 10 amps, if you are going to need an extension cord of any length, you should go with at least a 14 gauge cord (12 gauge would be even better, since you could use it on your power tools as well).
