The Old Cap In The Old Box Can Also Be Weak & You Will Be Chasing Ur Tail Trying To Figure Out Why Ur New Pump Motor Stopped Working In A Year Or Less!!!!!

If the motor on the Red Jacket is a Franklin Electric motor the control box will work... If it is a Goulds control box & the motor is a 1/2 hp the chance of it working is good. However the start up amps may not be the same as sku1647 and the life of the motor may be deminished. I would recommend purchasing the 1647 control box that matched perfectly to the motor.
