IT CAN BE DONE BUT THE EASIER WOULD BE TO USE A STRAIGHT EDGE (CUT SHOVEL) TO CUT IT IN 12 INCHES SQUARES AND THEN USE THE RAKE TO LIFT THEM OUT OFF PLACE AND MOVED THEM SOMEPLACE ELSE,
Was this Answer Helpful ?This rake is for pulling out the very top layer of sediment above the soil your grass is growing in so that oxygen and water can better reach the roots; the sediment builds up from dead leaves and grass clippings. To pull the lawn up, you can either use a shovel to cut and pry up sections, or rent a tiller from your local rent-all place.
Was this Answer Helpful ?This rake doesnt seem paticularly adept at tearing out grass as it is at leaving most of the grass behind has it sifts out the thatch. I think a nice steel rake, or gravel rake would do much better and ripping up grass.
