I plan to purchase about 24 deck boards; will you cut these boards at Lowe's? I would need 6' and 3' pieces cut from original 12' boards. Thank you!


I get conflicting answers, 2 different customer service folks on the live chat have told me YES they will absolutely cut Trex boards. Yet, store says NO

No, Lowes will not cut composite boards. Their machine is not set up to cut that type of material. The blade is a rough cut blade.

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex! To cut the deck boards, Trex recommends cutting the boards on the jobsite using a miter saw with a carbide tipped blade with 60 teeth or more. The Trex boards always come slightly longer to allow for Trex's 3/16" clean cutting recommendations from each board end. I hope this helps! Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
