A couple reviews mention it's best to get your own hardware, what hardware should I buy?

The item ships with 2-3/8-inch lag screws to attach the brackets to wood studs and 1-inch wood screws to attach the wood worktop to the brackets. Our first order of workbenches from our mill had lag screws that would work but we heard complaints the heads could be stripped or screws broken in some cases so we have replaced those and are now shipping with a harder lag screw. We recommend pre-drilling for the lag screws as well as the 1-inch wood screws as standard woodworking best practice. Use an appropriately sized Phillips bit for the wood screws , an 8mm wrench for the lag screws, tighten slowly and you shouldn’t have any issues.
