Wanting an outdoor switch for light post but also add an outdoor outlet


The PTC521GY is a weatherproof cover intended to protect a switch, and GFCI/Decorator receptacle, installed in a 2 gang configuration.

for putting an outlet on the lamppost! this is a nice way ti go! though you have to disguise it some for attractiveness.. You must be hard wired into a GFCI 15 amp circuit at your home's main panel. If you are unfamiliar with electrical or are thinking of learning off the Internet...please save the medical expenses and hire an electrician who is licensed, bonded and certified in NEC, state and your local codes. If he has not worked specifically on what you want done then thank him for his time and call someone else.

I personally would only use this in door. It is not sealed for outdoor / places that are open to the elements.
