At the opening that the electrical cord strings through, it looks as though only one cord can fit. Is that correct or will I be able to use two cords


Two flat cords fit easily. If the round cord is about 1/4"or less than 2 could fit.

2 cords, 14 AWG of smaller, will fit through the opening.

It's a conduit box for hard wire application only, A temporary cord and plug shall be terminated in a code approved manner. If you are unaware of what that is consult a licensed electrician.
