Can you replace a standard light switch, with a hot, neutral and ground wires?


This unit will replace a light switch that has an hot, neutral, load and ground wire. Wire the Timer Switch 1. Twist the existing wires together with the wire leads on the timer switch as indicated in the drawing. Cap them securely using the wire nuts provided. 2. Connect the green or non-insulated (copper) GROUND wire from the circuit to the unit GROUND wire. 3. Connect the power wire from the circuit (HOT) to the unit black wire 4. Connect the power wire to the lamp or fan (LOAD) to the unit red wire 5. Connect the NEUTRAL wires from the circuit (NEUTRAL) to the unit white wire. Note: Please check the presence of neutral wire, do not connect neutral with load wire together
