Is it necessary to attach the green wire of the photocell to the ground coming from the light and from the ground copper wire?

The RKP311 does not have an green ground wire. Use twist on wire connectors to complete wiring inside the weatherproof enclosure: A) connect the black (hot) wire from the circuit panel to the black wire of the photocontrol, B) connect all black wires from the light fixture to the red wire of the photocontrol, C) connect the white (neutral) wire from the circuit panel to all white wires from the lighting fixture and the photocontrol, D) close the wiring compartment.
