Hello, Yes, the DVR connects to a TV using an HDMI or VGA cable. We recommend keeping the unit as close as possible to the router. If you plan on placing the unit more then 20 ft then we would recommend using a high-grade cable such as CAT6 to maintain a stable internet connection.
