Supervent instructions state never offset the chimney pipes. Is it OK to use this kit and is there a special support needed if you use this kit .

Supervent instructions do NOT say never offset the chimney. The instructions say to never offset an exterior chimney. This kit includes the elbow to turn, elbow to return to vertical, locking bands and the Re-Support. Offsetting in an interior situation or inside a chase means you have something structurally strong to attach to. In an exterior installation though, there is nothing to secure the re-support to. There is a difference between support and stability and in the case of an offset, you're moving the weight of the pipe off its main support. As such, there needs to be a re-support for the weight of the pipe above that point.
