Should the switch be in the on or off button to recharge. If the answer is on then does it always stay on? Does the battery have to be changed.


The battery should be switched to the ON position to recharge. The ON switch should always remain in the ON position during normal operaton, switched to OFF position when storing or not using the lantern.
