What type of underlayment is required?


Hello Mack and thanks for your question. The Style Selections Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Plank all have an attached pad underlayment, so no need to purchase any extra. However, if installing over a concrete subfloor, we do require a 6 mil polyethelyne plastic vapor barrier be installed over the concrete prior to installing the flooring. The vinyl flooring is 100 percent waterproof, however, this is just added protection to prevent mold/mildew from occuring. Thanks again for choosing Style Selections Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring.
