Can this be installed on top of a carpet pad for sound barier?


Hello Jean and thanks for your question. The ProCore Plus Luxury Vinyl Plank already has an attached underlayment pad to absorb sound and should Never be installed over carpet pad. It will create weakness in the floor, compromise the locking mechanism, and will also void the manufacturer's product warranty. If installing over concrete, what is required is a 6 mil poly-ethelyne plastic vapor barrier to be installed over the subfloor to prevent mold/mildew from occurring. We highly suggest reviewing the Installation and Warranty Guides (found on the product page of the Lowe's website, or on the installation tab of the ProCore Floors website - www.procorefloors.com) prior to installing.
