would like to know what the brackets look like for the oak wood curtain rod set

They're nice. They are a matching wood with the rod resting atop the bracket cutout (I hope that makes sense). You use 2 screws to attach the bracket to the wall and once the bracket is nice and tight against the wall, there are 2 wooden pegs that you insert over the screws, so you can't see them, giving the whole thing a more finished look.
