What is the "fitter size" for these downrods?


I tried a shade that had a 2 1/4 inches diameter and the inner opening was about 1.5 inches diameter and this would not go in.

Question appears to be regarding the size of the opening a shade needs to fit onto the fixture, not the length of the rods. I'm wondering the same!

Fixture comes with a 6 and 12 inch rods.
