After reading the reviews, some say it can be tied into a switch and others say it cannot (thus left bad reviews). Which is it?

Hello, You can wire it to a switch, but the switch will not control the light - only the power to the mirror itself. You'll still need to use the touch control to turn the light ON and dim it. Of course, you can always turn the light OFF with the wall switch since it cuts power to the mirror entirely, but turning it back on will not turn the light on without also using the touch control.
