Can you clarify? The previous cover had a plastic screw in the cnter that went into the center of the existing ceiling fan. How would this one go on

Thank you for your question about this exhaust fan. We appreciate your business. This replacement grille comes with a type of torsion spring. It does not use a screw in the center. If your current fan uses a screw, a cover that requires this spring may not work.
