Can I hook this directly to the 200amp main or do I have to use a separate 30amp breaker


Hi batman6969, Yes it can be connected directly into the bus of your panel. or the load end of your Main breaker. But the major consequence for this installation is in replacing the SPD. The whole panelboard would have to be de-energize the whole panelboard just to disconnect and replace the SPD. If this is a concern then use a separate branch breaker as disconnect for the SPD device. We recommend a 2 pole 20A instead of 30A breaker. Warm Regards, Schneider Customer Care
