Can I use a HEPD25 on one 120V leg of a 120/240V, split-phase system or a 120/208V, 3-phase system? If so, what do I do with the L2 wire from the HEPD25?


The installation manual for part number HEPD80 includes the verbiage, "For a single-phase, 120 V, two-wire application, connect the two HEPD80 black wires together to an appropriate single-pole circuit breaker. " That makes me think I can do the same with the HEPD25.

Hi edstanley, HEPD25 is strictly for 120/240V system. If you are only looking for provide surge protection for 120V system. Best is to use SDSA1175T instead. Warm Regards, Schneider Electric Customer Care
