The only way to soften water (remove hard water minerals such as calcium and magnesium) in your shower is to install a shower SOFTENER, not a FILTER and the only company I know of that makes a shower water SOFTENER is WaterSticks.

Sprite Shower filters do not remove hard minerals, but they will help with dirt, sediment and iron oxide.
