You could use #2 THHN, but I wouldn't recommend it because it was designed, engineered and U.L. Listed as building wire and not automotive wire. I would advise going to an auto parts store for the product you are looking for.

You can, but I would recommend looking at wire that has more, smaller gauge strands. Look at car audio wiring, they usually have extremely flexible wire, just keep in mind though you get what you pay for.
