Was this Answer Helpful ?It sure can. Just be sure that the shed has a roof on it. If you are going to run a welder or have a hot water heater or use a kiln in the shed, then you will need to come off of the box with a larger gauge wire. The 12G will be fine for all you 20A applications.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Without knowing more details on the construction of the shed I can only say that NM-B cable might work fine if the proper precautions were taken such as installing insulating bushings where cable passes through holes punched in the metal framing. That being said, I believe a better choice would be either AC or MC cable.
