Is this product suitable to run from one building to another?

Hi, happy to help! Southwire Romex® SIMpull® NM‑B is not suitable for running between buildings. NM‑B is rated for indoor, dry locations only and is not permitted in wet or damp environments, which includes outdoor runs and the inside of conduit outdoors or underground. No. Even if in pipe, this wire is not allowed for outside use per nec code

Yes it is. I ran 75' inside a pvc pipe from my barn to my well to run a pump. I used the PVC pipe so that I would not accidently cut it when digging.

There are many unknown factors here, length of run. What's being used - how many amps may be used at one time. In a case like this, is always better to have a measure of safety, I would recommend at least a 10. Or if you might want 220 in the future, (very handy) go with an 8 and put a branch box inside the building.

First thing that determines wire is the load you plan to put on it. Then is it direct burial or overhead.

I would use 10-2 exterior type cable. I would use a 20 amp breaker to feed the line. Then I would use 12-2 from the j-box where the feed is to the outlets.

This wire can be used for this application if it is run inside of conduit. It is not rated for outdoor use without the conduit. There are wires that would be rated for this without having to run it through conduits. Talk to one of the department representatives to find the appropriate wire for what you are planning to do. For what you want to do with this wire you would want to run it through a conduit to your shed. The conduit should be ran underground no less than 6 inches and surrounded by pea gravel to ensure water drains away from the conduit. I would recommend PVC conduit rated for underground use. After the gravel backfill with top soil.

No, NM-B cable is typically called indoor cable and is for use in dry locations only. Outside and underground conduit are wet locations where NM-B cable cannot be used. You probably need UF-B cable.

Your question is not answerable without knowing the length of the run and the amperage it needs to carry. But, regardless, do not use this. Use something approved for outside use.
