Southwire 250-ft 10 / 2 / Romex SIMpull Solid Indoor CU NM-B W/G Individual pack ( By-the-roll )
Can you use this for a kitchen stove

Southwire 10/2 NM‑B cable is not suitable for most kitchen stoves, because standard electric ranges typically require a 120/240V, 40–50 amp circuit, which calls for 6/3 or 8/3 range‑rated cable—not 10/2. Was this Answer Helpful ? No, for two reasons. 10-2 NM-B cable only has 2 insulated conductors and a kitchen electric range needs 120/240 volts and that requires 3 insulated conductors and 1 ground conductor (bare or green insulated). The second reason is that 10-2 NM-B cable must be protected at 30 amps and most ranges require a 40 amp circuit, a few require a 50 amp circuit. I would use 8-3 NM-B cable with a 40 amp 2 pole breaker.
