Can i run 50ft of 12/2 240v @20amps

Hello, and thank you for your question. Yes — a 12/2 copper NM‑B circuit is rated for 20 amps, and running it 50 ft on 240V at 20A is acceptable, as the NM‑B ampacity for 12 AWG is 20A per NEC. If you have any additional questions or feedback, please reach out to us at consumersupport@southwire.com.

Is this a 20 amp circuit or a 20 amp load? If a continuous load you'll have to use 10-3 NM-B cable as long as the entire circuit is indoors in a dry environment. If the circuit is outside I'd suggest you use UF-B cable.
