Was this Answer Helpful ? No, NM-B cable is for indoor dry locations only. Outdoor and underground use, whether direct buried or in conduit, are classed by the NEC as wet locations. For direct burial you should use UF-B cable buried 24" deep. For buried conduit you can used THHN/THWN-2 conductors. The conduit must be 18" deep.
