Assuming your generator has a 30 amp protected receptacle, you need to install a 30 amp power inlet at your house. Between the power inlet and indoor transfer switch you can use the 10-3 NM-B cable where you posted your question. Between the power inlet and generator receptacle you'll need an extension cord. You can make your own cord from 10-4 SOW cord with the appropriate male and female cord caps.
