How does it operate?


Pull back on the lever that sits on top. At the end you will see a metal tip. Also there will be a matching metal tip at the lower left side of the meter. Place the battery between the metal tips and release the lever. Watcy the polarity of the battery and compare to the positive and negative symbols (+) (-) embossed in the plastic. Nine volt batteries should be held to the contacts on the side of the meter. Again watch the polarity, but this time the smaller positive ( + ) contact goes on the smaller contact on top.

Battery fits in a slot with a sliding bar. Do not have to hold battery. Yes, a clumsy person could use it fine.
