Need to run approx 100 feet underground to my deck to power a sauna... 110 20 amp ... what size and kind of wire


Hi, happy to help! For a 110V / 20‑amp sauna circuit run 100 ft underground, you’ll want to use 12/2 UF‑B copper (direct‑bury rated) or THHN in PVC conduit, not NM‑B (Romex), which is indoor‑only and cannot be used underground. 8-3 NM-B cable cannot be used. NM-B cable is not allowed to be used either outdoors or underground. I'd use #12 THHN/THWN-2 conductors in PVC conduit.
