How flexable is it?


Hi, happy to help! No — 8/3 NM‑B is not flexible enough to make a welder extension cord, and it will be extremely stiff, difficult to coil, and not rated for repeated movement. If we can help in any other way, please reach out to us at consumersupport@southwire.com.

You would do better to use a #8 stranded wire instead of solid it will give you more flexibility.

This product is for fixed in place building wiring and is not for use as an extension cord. You should be looking at 8-4 SOOW cord.
