Was this Answer Helpful ?6-3 NM-B cable would certainly work for a 40 or 50 amp 4-wire circuit to your 120/240 volt electric range and would also work for a 30 amp 120/240 volt electric dryer, but #6 conductors would be a little too big to be terminated at a 30 amp dryer receptacle. A better choice for the dryer would be 10-3 NM-B cable.
