Once you test the soil how do you know how much to add to bring up the ph for example

THe instruction card has dosing suggestions for how to correct PH using limestone or hydrated lime. However it lists the same dosing for sandy soil vs clay, which isnt right. It also lists recommendations for dosing N P K but theyre complicated. Google can find easier calculations for those and recommendations for your type of grass and soil.

For example, if the color read was ph 6.5(slightly acid), then to bring back the soil to a neutral (7.0) level, you would need to add 2.5#s/100 sq ft of dolomitic or calcic limestone to a loamy(perfect) soil to create a neutral soil. Using the color chart & Adjusting the soil ph chart are your keys to adjusting the ph in your soil.
